Therapeutic Fiction Writing

One of the things you will see me arguing throughout the book/blog is the power of erotic creative writing for healing and transformation. The power of such endeavors where one attempts to blend the self and other, storytelling with truth, lives with characters, love and death, fear and strength is something Plato inspired me to see and teach my students. Nonetheless, as I will discuss when I come to blog about the writing styles of women like Irigaray, Anzaldua and Lorde is that such erotic creative projects not only help us to heal but they also do the work of fighting oppressive normalized ways in which we communicate truth and beauty. Art and Justice go hand in hand. Again, in the blog What is Erotic Philosophy, we will eventually discuss all of this. For now, a space for my failed but still wonderful fictional projects.
